Mia stuck her head out of the kitchen, then ducked back. "Gran, Teran is here," she said.
"Is he now?" asked her grandmother coming out. She was short and portly, with a kind grandmotherly face.
"Yep!"
"Well that you young man," she said and beamed. "This is a very large Shark, will definetly give my son and my grand son a run for their money to eat it before the week is out," and she shared a laugh with Teacher. They seemed to be old friends, even though Gran was older then Teacher by at least 30 years.

"Have you now, well lets not keep you from a well earned trophy... and a meal I might add. You're all skin and bones!" cried Gran. "Now the lot of you go wash up and I'll dish it out."
"Yes, ma'am," came a chorus of voices and they made they're way to where they could wash. All but Teacher and Poppa. "I hope he doesn't get killed," Teacher chuckled.
"You worry to much Ryn," said Gran.
"Only enough," she shot back.

"I do," said Teacher. "And do not call me that name. You know how I detest it," she said folding her arms and Tucker came to rest on her shoulder, she tickled him gently under the chin.
"Amazing how somone so deadly can be so cheerful, and childish," said Poppa as he stood with a groan from his padded whicker chair.
"Don't let looks decieve," she said as the younger elves came back out.

"Comon dearies," said Gran and set a medium sized pot down on the long table. There was a place for all, Poppa and Thom sat at the ends, the other four could arrange themselves as they saw fit. "And more where that came from," said the short woman as Teacher took a seat on one side, Mia on the other across from the older she-elf.

Teran took the seat next to Mia (there is one there right?). He folded his hands in his lap and kept his eyes fixed to them.

Gran poured the thick stew. Heavily laden with Shark and vegatables. Poppa set Teran's bowl down in front of him as they got passed around. "Aaannnd," she added going back into the kitchen for a moment. "Chips!"
"Alright!" said Thom and took a few healthy handfulls of them. But there were plenty, even for a man Thom sized, and then some!

Once the bowl reached Teran, he only took a small bit. No need to show himself as greedy...

"Come now Teran," said Gran. "Help yourself, you're all skin and bones. You don't look like you had a homecooked meal in a long while," and her face split into a small wrinckled smile. "And if you pass those one without taking more I will put more on your plate," she said seriusly taking up a spoon. Next to him Mia shook her head with a small smile. At the ends Poppa and Thom were eating like no tomarrow, but still being surprisingly neat. And Teacher simply was quiet, she looked like she was weighing odds in her mind. And she was, she was trying to guess how long it would take Thom to snap at Teran for doing somthing.

"Haaaa," said Mia and took the bowl from Teran and put a few handfulls herself on her plate. "Teacher," she said but she had her eyes fixed on Teran and didn't seem to hear. "Teacher," she said louder and nudged Teacher in the arm.
"Huh? Yes?" she asked and noticed the bowl. "Thank you," she said taking the bowl.

Teran felt her eyes on him, and it was nerve-wrecking. Teran took a taste of Mia's Grandmother's stew. He instantly fell in love with it.

Teacher passed the bowl to Gran and dove into the stew. But her eyes were fixed on either Mia or Teran. A grin crept to her lips as if she knew something neither of them knew.

"Never as good as Gran's," said Mia and there was a slirping sound.
"May I have some more, Gran?" Thom asked holding out his bowl.
"Of course Thomsan!" said Gran snatching his bowl and ladeling it full from the pot on the groud before passing it back to him.

Teran became quiet again. He took to munching on his chips now. He took one and dipped it in his stew, which added even another greater taste to it. He looked about the table, then back at his hands.
