Selling Fish

"Hey Miss Mia!!" Teran said happily, but quickly corrected himself. "I mean, Mia. I got this for you!" He hauled it over his shoulder and placed it on the sand before her, still grinning.

Mia couldn't really use any parts of Lurker Shark. But then she smiled brightly remembering her grandmother had told her about a thing you could make from Lurker Shark meat. "Thank you Teran," she said.

"Comon, Mia," said Thom. "I want you to rest-"

"or you'll what?" she demanded.

"Hey, I'm the doctor here! I have far more experiance in a person's Green eco flow, and I want you to rest. Do I make myself clear?!" he asked.

"Yes, sir," she said glumly.

"Here, carry this," and he handed his hammer to Mia. "I'll carry it home so Gran can cook it... yum," and he licked his lips. "Been a long time since she made Shark stew."

"Would you like to join us Teran?" Mia asked holding the hammer with a slightly overwhelmed look, I mean the thing weighed a ton! "I mean you caught it, you might as well help us eat it!"

Teran was stunned. He was even more elated now. "Sure!!" He almost shrieked. "I mean... yes." he said calmer.

[Xazz]

Mia giggled and grinned but Thom rolld his eyes and with a heave he brought the Shark onto his broad shoulders. 'Stupid kid,' he thought with a grumble and started walking down the beach towards Sandover.

Teran felt like dancing, but didn't. "Um... when shall I come?"

[Xazz]

"I'll take a bit," Thom called back to the two younger elves. "like half an hour to clean and gut then two more to serve it up!"

"So like two and a half to three hours," said Mia.

"Comon Mia, I still want you to rest!" Thom yelled and he was now farther ahead.

"Comin'!" she yelled. "Its the house at the end of the beach on the other side of the Sandover. Its down by the cliff that leads to the Forbidden Jungle. Go around the first cliff and our house is right there," and she ran off after her brother. "See you there Teran!" she called behind her.

"Okay! Later!" he called back to her. As soon as she was out of earshot and sight, Teran tore the beach up. He began dancing all over the place, whooping and yelling and cheering.

((*snorts so doesn't break into uncontrolled laughter*))

~Three hours later.

"Gran, I need another plate," said Mia as her grandmother handed her four plates.

She gave her grandaughter a look before remembering, "O, yes that nice boy that caught it is coming over right?"

"Yep," said Mia and her grandmother handed her another plate. She made the table while Thom watched her from the living room his eyes watching her like a hawk.

Teran looked at the sundial he'd made. He only had two markings, spanning 3 hours. It was almost time. "Come on..." He said to himself.

The sun finally reached his desired position, indicating a three hour span of time had passed. Not a second later, Teran was up and dashing to Mia's house.

Thom looked at the wall that faced the cliff. But he quickly saw beyond the cliff to the Green eco that radiated from like a sun. He saw somone running towards the cliffs, and it wasn't Jak, as there was no extra Green tainted with Dark on his shoulder, so that led him to asume it was Teran.

"That kid is almost here," he said. "Hey gran, can we have chips with dinner?" he called.

"Of course Thomsan," said his grandmother.

Teran kept running, going almost as fast as he could. He passed the cliffs, made it through the village, to the farmers house, then to Mia's house. He was panting at the front of her door, but he made himself raise a hand to knock, too tired to be nervous.

"Don't answer the door for a minute," said Thom. "Let the poor kid catch his breath," his grandfather looked at him strangly but shrugged knowing that his grandson must know.

Teran was still breathing heavily, but after a few seconds, he was back to normal.

[Xazz]

"I'll get it," and Thom heaved himself out of the chair and walked over to the door. He opened it and leaned against the door frame, "Hello Teran. You know you didn't have to sprint all the way over here."

[Lord Zaeon]

"I... I know, but I didn't want to be late," He breathed.

[Xazz]

"Yeah, like my grandmother would let us start if we had somone coming over for dinner," he sighed.

"Ah! Mia, get another setting out," they heard Thom's grandmother say to the young she-elf.

"Why?"

"Ry- Teacher is coming to eat with us. I just remembered, she asked me two days ago, hurry she'll be here any minute."

"See, plenty of time. Teacher always arrives late," said Thom.

"Not when Annie is cooking up Shark Stew!" said Teacher behind Teran. Both boys jumped.

"Well... on time I see," he said noting Tucker perched on her head.

Teran didn't turn about. Now that he was calm again, he was beginning to grow nervous.

[Xazz]

"Comon," said Thom lazily and walked back inside.

Before Teran could walk in Teacher grabbed his shoulder and whispered in his ear. "No fear," before walking ahead of him and greeting both of the senjor Knucklers.

Teran was slightly surpirsed she knew of his uneasiness, but didn't show it. He followed the two into the home.
