Zaeon smiled. he looked down and a Shadow appeared at his feet. "This is a Heartless." Zaeon said, crouching down and stroking the Shadow's head. "It's formed from the hearts of those who have lost their Hearts, and that's what they feed on. They can be like animals hunting weaker prey. Or, they can be intellegent and powerful. It all depends on whoever is controlling them, and how strong their Heart is."

"I see," said Siree and inside her goblet two dancers appeared. They twirled in it for a moment before leaping from the suface to the grund, where they splashed onto the floor.

The shadow grew curious. He waddled over to the puddle and examined it.

As the sadow leaned over the puddle the said puddle shuddered. Then with a wrenching quiver it shaped itself. For a second it was nothing, then it formed into a replica of the shadow itself. Siree laughed lightly.

The shadow turned its head to the side and stared into the puddle, occasioally clawing at it.

Whenever the shadow tried to claw at its water copy the water silmpy parted to let the black claw hit thin air.

Zaeon knelt down beside the shadow and stroked it's head. "Look's like you've met your match." He said.

The mimic shadow pointed and laughed at the real one with a bubbly like laugh. "Mind your manners," said Siree and with a small wave of her hand the water shadow turned into a snake of water and flowed up into her cup. Where upon she took a drink of it.

At that moment the hall went queit. As King Shrek and Queen Fiona had stood up. They prepared to say some words brfore the tornament...

"Ladies and Gentlemen," Shek said, waving his arms across the crowd. "Today, you have gathered here to battle amongst each other to be named the greatest battler in the land.."
"I doubt that's a word," Zaeon scoffed.
"... and to acheive great riches. 10,000 gold pieces! And as a twist to this years tourny, my wife, Fiona, will be competing!" This gained a few laughs from the crowd.
"Think it's funny?" Fiona asked. "Come on up here, any one of ya!" A man walked up on stage and was made quick work of.

"Poor sap," said Nik as he downed a bit more ale.
"Now, without further a'do let the games begin!" A massive door on the right side of the hall was opened to reveal a tornament area.
"Lets do this," said Bean and the two elves stood, Nik cracked his neck.

"Hoo yeah!" Lyte said, jumping from side to the side. "I'm ready! Bring it be!"
Zaeon's mind however, was elsewhere. He saw the Godmother in the crowd again. "What in the world is she doing here?" He asked aloud.

Z spotted the others and made a haste b-line for them. "Somthing smells rank," she said to Zaeon as the people flowed out ot the room. "And it isn't the food, or the ogres."

"I've noticed it too." Zaeon's fears were confirmed when he saw a blond-haired pretty boy make his way through the crowd to the godmother. "It's a conspiracy of some sorts."
Meanwhile, Lyte was itching to start the battles. He looked at the Queen, who was practicing on some of the commoners. "Ha ha! She's mine!" He laughed.

"Shut up," said Bean and dragged Lyte down as the Queen looked his way. "I may not like the KG, or even you personaly but I don't want to see you get beaten to a bloody pulp here," she said in a whisper. "In case you havn't noticed eco is all but dead here."
"I know," said Z, "I heard her talking to some of the guards. Plesent talk, but I know her. She's all sugar and cake on the outside but inside..." she trailed off. "She's up to somthing."
